Happy New Years from your New Hampshire Mountain Kings! After a good holiday break, the boys are back in action and ready to make up some ground as they fight for a spot in the 2026 Robertson Cup Playoffs. I’m Alex Posani, the public address announcer, and I’m here to give you a preview of what the Mountain Kings will be up to in January.
Right out of the gate, the Mountain Kings will ring in the new year with a weekend set against the Philadelphia Rebels at Delta Dental Arena on January 2nd and 3rd. Friday’s game is at 7:00pm, and Saturday’s at 6:00pm. The Mountain Kings are looking to improve on their 1-3 record against Philadelphia, and this weekend will surely be a test of the myriad of new players on the team.
The following weekend, the Mountain Kings host the Elmira Aviators, with the game on Friday the 9th at 7:00pm and Saturday the 10th at 6:00pm. If you’re looking for your New Year’s hockey fix, 4 games in 8 days at Delta Dental Arena will surely fill your appetite.
After two weekends at home, the Mountain Kings will take their talents on the road to upstate New York, for a Friday and Saturday set in Rochester. The Jr. Americans have been a tough opponent for the Mountain Kings, dating back to 2023, and this weekend will be one to watch.
On Friday the 23rd, the Mountain Kings will start the first of two games against the Maine Nordiques at home, with Saturday’s game at the new home of the Nordiques, the Norway Savings Bank Arena in Auburn, Maine.
To close out January, the boys will take a short jaunt down I-93 to face off against the Northeast Generals in Canton, Massachusetts.
