Welcome to 2026! The Mountain Kings are back in action, and I, Alex Posani, am here to get you up to speed on the events of the past weekend.
On Friday, the Mountain Kings rang in the new year in style, beating the Philadelphia Rebels 4-3 in overtime. A name you should remember? Ronnie Hill. He had two goals and the primary assist on Thomas Malawski’s Overtime Game Winning Goal.
On Saturday, the Mountain Kings took it to the limit, but fell to the Philadelphia Rebels in the shootout. Ronnie Hill, again, made his mark on the scoresheet, with his goal in the first period.
At the wrap, the Mountain Kings took 3 out of 4 points from the Rebs as they seek to claw back into the chase for the Robertson Cup Playoffs. The boys are back in action this weekend, January 9th and 10th, against the Elmira Aviators.
