This weekend, the New Hampshire Mountain Kings are back in action, welcoming the Maryland Black Bears to the Granite State. Friday’s game is at 7:00pm, Saturday’s at 6:00pm.
The Mountain Kings, who are 7-10-1-2 (W-L-OT-SO), dropped both games against the Rochester Jr. Americans last weekend. Despite their position in the NAHL East Division, only 8 points separate them from a playoff spot. The Mountain Kings are excited to go up against first-place Maryland and prove they can hang with the best in the East.
The Maryland Black Bears, who are 18-3-1-1 (W-L-OT-SO) are off to a white-hot start to the season. Currently sitting in first place in the East Division, they’re also in first place in the entire North American Hockey League.
For the third consecutive year, the Mountain Kings have partnered with Hannaford to raise money and donations for the New Hampshire Food Bank. Anyone who donates non-perishable food items at the front of Delta Dental Arena this weekend will get into the games for FREE! Those food items will go to local families through the New Hampshire Food Bank. Specialty jerseys worn this weekend, designed by Nate Carter, will be auctioned off on the DASH auction platform, with all proceeds donated to the New Hampshire Food Bank.
Hannaford has over 180 locations in the Northeast. Founded in 1883, Hannaford donates over 23 million pounds of food to local food pantries and area food banks to alleviate hunger and food insecurity.
Since 1984, the New Hampshire’s Food Bank has delivered tens of millions of pounds of non-perishable food every year to Granite State residents. The only food bank in the state, they have more than 420 partner agencies in New Hampshire. In 2024 alone, the New Hampshire Food Bank distributed more than 17 million pounds of food to New Hampshire residents. That’s the equivalent of 14 million meals.
